Dejected Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was pleased his side created chances against Sevilla but bemoaned his side’s ability to capitalise on them.
The Reds could only draw 2-2 with the LaLiga side at Anfield in their opening Champions League group game with Sevilla striker Joaquin Correa grabbing a crucial equaliser with 17 minutes to go.
Wissam Ben Yedder had initially opened the scoring for the visitors – with some calamitous defending aiding the striker somewhat – before Roberto Firmino levelled for the Reds.
Mohamed Salah then scored to give Liverpool a 2-1 advantage before Firmino missed a crucial penalty – striking the post instead.

“All respect for Sevilla – they never gave up,” the Liverpool manager said after the Champions League opener.
“We were unlucky with the penalty for sure, maybe a second penalty was possible.
“We had more chances – that’s important that we have chances.
“So we created even against a defensively, really good organised side and we created a lot of chances but we didn’t use them.
“That’s the truth, but in football it’s really important that you keep on going.
“There’s a lot in this game on what we can build – it’s what we will try of course.”
