MANILA, Philippines – In a week that saw two of the top PBA teams confirming their respective import replacements, the TNT KaTropa have followed suit.
The KaTropa have parted ways with Jeremy Tyler after just 4 games in with the former NBA player.
Tyler’s sports agent and representative in the Philippines, Sheryl Reyes, announced the development on her Twitter account.
“Unfortunately, with the turn out of events, TNT will replace Jeremy Tyler. That was his last game. Thanks, Jeremy. We wish you all the best,” Reyes wrote.

The 26-year-old played his last game for the KaTropa last May 13 – a 100-110 defeat to the Alaska Aces. Tyler had 16 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and a block in the losing effort.
He averaged 12.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 4 games, helping the KaTropa win their first 3 outings.
Tyler’s replacement has yet to be announced as of press time.
This is the 5th time in the 2018 Commissioner’s Cup that a team will replace its import.
The NLEX Road Warriors and Columbian Dyip changed their respective imports early in the conference while the San Miguel Beermen bid goodbye to Troy Gillenwater to bring back former reinforcement Renaldo Balkman after going winless in two games.
Meanwhile, the Magnolia Hotshots confirmed Vernon Macklin will play his last game on Friday, May 18, as he heads to the National Basketball League in China.
