Glasgow Rangers could be willing to listen to offers for Ibrox favourite James Tavernier in the summer transfer window, according to reports from The Scottish Sun.
The report claims that the Gers boss Steven Gerrard would like to keep Tavernier, but would be willing to listen to any offers over £3.5 million for the right-back.
Rangers are already lining up Jon Flanagan as potential replacement. The 25-year-old was released by Liverpool last month and he would be available on a free transfer.
Rangers have the Scottish Premiership’s best right-back in Tavernier and he has been a revelation over the last two seasons.
From a weak link in the side, he is now a key player for the Gers. Solid in defence, he has been one of Rangers’ best attacking outlets.
In a crazy transfer market where even average players have inflated price tags, £3.5 million for Tavernier would be an absolute steal.
Rangers would be making a huge blunder if they sell a player of his calibre at such a snip price.
