Newcastle United have rejected an approach from Brighton & Hove Albion for striker Alexsander Mitrovic.
Rafa Benitez in in desperate need of funds for transfers and is considering letting the giant forward leave.
The Magpies value Mitrovic at £15 million, although it is understood the bid from Brighton is below that valuation.
The Serbian wants to leave the north east in order to secure his place in the national side ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Benitez is not a fan of the striker and would be willing to let him leave for the right price to fund further moves after a failed takeover bid.
French club Bordeaux have already tried and failed to lure the 23-year-old away from St. James’ Park.
The Spaniard has already secured the signature of Brazilian starlet Kenedy from Chelsea on a loan deal on Tuesday.
