Newcastle have set their sights on Galatasaray forward Garry Rodrigues and could launch a January bid for the Cape Verde international.
The 27-year-old, who only joined the Turkish giants in the summer, has been attracting interest from around Europe including the Premier League.
Newcastle are keen to add attacking reinforcements during the mid-season window and Rafa Benitez is reportedly a fan of Rodrigues.
And, according to Fotomac, the Magpies are readying a January swoop for the in-demand forward, who is said to be keen to on a potential switch.
Rodrigues has not scored regularly but his all-round game has earned rave reviews throughout the Turkish top flight.
Newcastle will know they must act quickly if they are to complete a deal for the 27-year-old, who is expected to have plenty of potential suitors in January.
