Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Chelsea over a potential move for Willian, according to reports.
The Brazilian was brought to England by Jose Mourinho almost five years ago from Shakhtar Donetsk – with the Portuguese remaining a firm favourite ever since.
According to the Manchester Evening News, representatives from United have held initial discussions with the 29-year-old over the possibility of a reunion.
Having made Brazil’s World Cup squad, the attacking midfielder is expected to add to his impressive 54-cap haul.
And it is that experience and creativity that Mourinho is reportedly keen to bring to Old Trafford.
Although the Red Devils’ defence is where the former Chelsea boss really wants to strengthen, the chance to weaken a rival once again could prove too good to turn down.
Last summer, Manchester United shocked the Premier League by poaching Nemanja Matic away from their rivals, in a move that was derided by Blues fans.

Willian has just two years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and Blues may be tempted to do a deal if the player indicates he wants the move.
United have not done business with his agent, Kia Joorabchian, since fellow client Carlos Tevez left to join Manchester City in 2009.
