Juventus are hoping to tie up a deal for either Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, the Manchester United target, or Liverpool’s Emre Can.
The Italian champions are looking to bolster their squad this summer after missing out on Champions League glory having lost to Real Madrid in the final.
Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly prioritised adding more strength to his midfield and he is pushing for a new player to be brought in.
And Allegri, according to Corriere dello Sport, has told the club’s board he wants either Can or Matic to be snapped up before the summer is over.
The Italian manager is reportedly a big fan of the Premier League pair and believes either player would improve Juve’s squad.
Can is reportedly settled at Liverpool and he is in talks with the club over a new long-term contract, which would see his pay rise to around £100,000-a-week.
But Matic, who is also wanted by United, could seemingly be lured away from Stamford Bridge with his place in the team under threat from new arrival Tiemoue Bakayoko.
