Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has told talkSPORT the club are on the verge of appointing a new manager.
Caretaker boss David Unsworth has led the Toffees since Ronald Koeman left the club on October 23, and since then the club has lost four, one won, and drawn one of their six matches in all competitions.
And now Moshiri, after several failed bids to lure Watford boss Marco Silva to the club, is about to pick his man.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT host Jim White, Moshiri said: “The first priority is to stabilise the club and finalise the appointment of a manager. WE ARE CLOSE.
“It is really best to say nothing more until a new management team is appointed and we climb up the table.
“The media reports are unfair, but are best answered with performances.”
