Andre Drummond and the Detroit Pistons (34-33) will host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (31-36) on Friday March 15 at 7:00 pm in the Little Caesars Arena. The last matchup between these teams was back on Wednesday January 9, where the Lakers won 113-100. The Lakers offense was dominated by Kyle Kuzma’s forty-one points in less than thirty minutes. Ex-Lakers Ivica Zubac and Michael Beasley scored eleven and nineteen, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored fifteen against the team that drafted him No. 8 overall in 2013. For the Pistons, Blake Griffin led the way with sixteen points, while Reggie Jackson and Langston Galloway each scored fifteen to support the Pistons attack. Now a Laker, Reggie Bullock scored thirteen against his now current team.

The Lakers play tonight at 8:00 pm against the Toronto Raptors so they could be sluggish against the Pistons who are in desperate need of a victory. The last completed game for the Lakers was against the Bulls on Tuesday. LeBron scored thirty-six and he was supported by KCP’s twenty-four, and Kyle Kuzma’s twenty-one points. The Lakers have been hit with a plague of injuries with Lonzo Ball, and Brandon Ingram each were shut down for the year with injury. All of the Bulls’ starters scored double figures with Robin Lopez scored twenty points, Porter Jr. nineteen, Kris Dunn eighteen, Arcidiacono fourteen, and Markkanen eleven.
The Pistons were embarrassed in Brooklyn and then went to South Beach and got embarrassed again. The Pistons really need to get it together as they lost to two playoff teams each by thirty points their last two games. Against the Heat, the Pistons were a disgrace where Blake Griffin led with only thirteen points. Wayne Ellington scored eleven vs. his former team and Luke Kennard scored ten. The balanced offensive attack of the Heat struck again as Justice Winslow sixteen, Bam Adebayo ten, Josh Richardson thirteen, Dion Waiters fourteen, Hassan Whiteside thirteen, Goran Dragic ten, Dwyane Wade eleven, all scored over ten points.
The Pistons are coming off their worst game of the season (again) and I have no idea what the Pistons were doing these last two games. I would predict Detroit’s starting five as Jackson, Brown, Ellington, Griffin, Drummond and Los Angeles’ as Rondo, Bullock, James, Kuzma, and McGee. I will predict a 104-98 Lakers victory tomorrow night.
