Cristiano Ronaldo, if reports are to be believed, could push for a return to Manchester United this summer.
The Sun recently stated that Ronaldo has told his agent, Jorge Mendes, to do everything in his power to make the move happen.
So what’s being said about this potential transfer, which would be the standout deal of the incoming transfer window?
We’ve collected the comments of pundits and ex-professionals – read on to find out their thoughts and understanding.
Ramon Calderon, who signed Ronaldo while president of Real Madrid (2006-2009), told talkSPORT earlier today that while Los Blancos should do everything to block his exit, the Portuguese superstar can be very persuasive when it comes to his future.
Calderon said: “He is very strong-minded and when he decides something he goes through with it. The point now is whether he really has decided to leave.
“He likes Manchester United – that is something we all know. One year before he was going to come, he told me that he was really grateful to Manchester United, the fans, the people there, his teammates – everything in the city.”
There’s also been plenty of discussion on Twitter over his future at the Santiago Bernabeu – check out what others ‘in the know’ have been saying below.
