Raheem Sterling has turned himself into Manchester City’s saviour this season.
Sterling, the England international, had failed to show his true worth at the Etihad prior to this season, but the 22-year-old has exploded into life throughout 2017-18.
And in recent weeks, when Pep Guardiola’s side have been struggling to perform at their best, Sterling has popped up with some incredibly vital goals.
He scored the winning goal against Feyenoord in the Champions League, then achieved the same feat in consecutive Premier League matches against Huddersfield and Southampton.
What is incredible about these winning goals is that they have all come in the final minutes of the matches in which they were scored in.
Sterling’s winner over Feyenoord was netted after 88 minutes, the strike against Huddersfield came five minutes from time, while his wonder goal versus Southampton came SIX minutes into time added on!
Man City have proven they have that desire and ability to fight until the final whistle that all champions possess, but have they scored the most last-minute goals in 2017-18?
