Rose Rule” />
Anthony Davis was not voted onto one of the three All-NBA teams and therefore did not qualify for the Rose Rule.
The Rose Rule allows players coming off their rookie contract to take up to 30 percent of his team’s salary cap if he’s voted a starter in the All-Star Game twice or twice named to an All-NBA team.
Davis was an All-NBA First Team selection last year and also started in the All-Star Game, but neither happened this season.
Davis will lose up to $24 million as his five-year deal will be worth $120 million instead of $144 million.
